Tong commenced his PhD at the University of Adelaide in 2016. He is supervised by Professor Chunhua Shen, Professor Ian Reid and Dr Guosheng Lin. He obtained his Masters in Robotics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden. His current research focuses on semantic image segmentation and deep neural networks.He left the Centre in 2018 to return to China.
