Shawn (Yixiao) Ge

Shawn completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree at ANU in 2020, majoring in Mechatronics. During this time, he worked on several research projects in robotics and computer vision, and his honours project focused on the implementation of a symmetry-based SLAM algorithm on the Carlie platform. Shawn joined Centre in 2020 as an honours student and participated in the Carlie showcase competition at RoboVis. In 2021, he commenced his PhD under the supervision of Professor  Robert Mahony at ANU. His current research interests are dense SLAM and non-linear control theory.
