Medhani is completing her research under the supervison of Hondong Li and Chuong Nguyen. Her research interests are deeplearning, computer vision, robotics and control systems. Medhani completed a Bachelor of Science and Technology specialising in Mechatronics, at Uva Wellassa University, Sri Lanka in 2012.  She then completed a Master of Science in Robotics and Control Systems at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2014.  She has several conference publications relevant to haptic and vibration suppression of bilateral control systems.  Medhani is currently working on object classification and detection by using deeplearning.
