Josh completed his undergraduate studies at Monash University in 2013, graduating with a Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering (1st class) and a Diploma of Languages (German). He commenced his PhD studies under Lindsay Kleeman and Tom Drummond of the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering at Monash University. His doctoral work focused on development of hardware systems to accelerate primitives of computer vision. Josh is a keen amateur linguist, and formerly played lead guitar in a death metal band. He completed his PhD in 2018.
