Ehab Salahat

Ehab Salahat is a Ph.D. researcher at ANU. He completed his Master’s studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Communications Engineering (with first-class honors) in 2015 and 2013, respectively.

During his studies, he was the recipient of many international and national prestigious scientific awards and honors. Additionally, his bachelor project was selected to be the best graduation project from the Communications Engineering department. He is the lead inventor for many embedded vision US patents.

Ehab has served as a reviewer and as a member of the technical program committee in more than 30 conferences and numerous journals such as the IEEE TCS-VT, TCS-I, IEEE-IES, IEEE-VTC, GLOBECOM, IECON, etc. He is also the lead author of approximately 40 scientific and peer-reviewed papers in flagship venues such as IEEE GLOBECOM’17, IECON’16 (where he also received a student travel award), IECON’15, ISIE’14, VTC’15, GLOBECOM’14, PIMRC’17. He also published 3 book chapters related to embedded vision and computer vision, with several journals in peer-review and other pending US patents and in preparation.

His research interests include computer vision, robotics, machine learning, signal processing, wireless communications, ASIC/SoC design, and information theory. His current research investigates novel approaches for robotic visual inspection.
