Internships and exchanges are an important development opportunity for PhD researcher, offering the chance to apply or share their research in a new environment. They can also be an important part of developing and/or cementing relationships between research groups like the Centre, industry partners or prestigious international research groups. Boasting some of the brightest students in our field, globally, it’s not surprising some of our Centre PhD researchers have completed internships and exchanges with prominent organisations and institutions all over the world.
- PhD Researcher Fahimeh Rezazadegan spent six months at the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
- PhD Researcher Doug Morrison spent four months at Amazon Robotics in Berlin.
- PhD Researchers Gil Avraham and Huangying Zhang both completed a three-month research internship at Microsoft HoloLens in Washington State.
- PhD Researcher Cedric Scheerlinck spent twelve months at the University of Zurich.

- PhD Researcher Artur Banach is currently at Harvard Medical School for twelve months.
